FUN FACT
Every April through May, flocks of sandpipers, plovers, whimbrels, and many other shorebirds pass through the Tofino area. Thousands stop in the Tofino area to feed and rest. Their migration is almost unbelievable from South America to their Arctic breeding grounds and back again.
