Tofino harbour is the home at least 1 resident California Sea Lion, know as “Andre” or others in the harbour call him “Frank the Tank”. The key difference between males and females is that male sea lions are much larger—reaching up to 600 to 850 lbs (270 to 385 kg) and 7 ft (2.13 m) in length. Females grow to 200 to 250 lbs (90 to 115 kgs) and up to 6 ft (1.83 m) in length.
