-The Endeavour Hydrothermal vents located 260 km southwest of Vancouver island. 2,250 meters below the surface level, the vents rise over 300 meters. Teaming with life, this ecosystem based on chemosynthesis, meaning life is sustained by energy from chemicals rather than energy from sunlight.
