Good Morning,

FUN FACT

Sea Pens are found in the waters of Tofino and are distinguishable by their thousands of stinging polyps arranged in a feather shaped plume, resembling an old style quill. When threatened by a predator, they will often pulse with a pale blue-green light. This display of bioluminescence is thought to have evolved as a way of attracting the attention of other fish as a means of distracting the predator interested in them.
