We are fortunate to excellent conditions and opportunities for whale whatching nearly year round. Except for the stormiest and wettest months of December and January and February the rest of the year is a good time to see whales around Tofino.

Due to the nutrition in the soil within this protected habitat, Tofino and Clayoquot Sound provide a world-class bird-watching environment.
Birds and their young can store the critical fats they need from the various organisms and worms found in the different habitats here: ocean, mudflats, rocky shorelines, and old-growth rainforest.
