Whales, Sunsets and Smooth Seas

The weather and sea conditions have been unbelievable in the last couple of days.  The temperatures have been in the mid 20’s the skies have been clear and with a very slight breeze.  It has made for picture perfect wildlife viewing from either WASCO or NANUQ and there has been no shortage of wildlife.

We continue to see an abundance of Grey whales feeding in Cow Bay and lots of Humpback whales within a couple of miles from shore.  Ever since Canada day we have been fortunate to have seen very active Humpbacks with lots of breaching and tail fluking.  Our trips to the Hot Springs have been filling up quickly with such nice weather and we now have confirmed trips every day.

Tonight is the first night for our evening dinner and cruise with the Spotted Bear Bistro.  We have several people that will be enjoying a nice cruise through the calm  and beautiful inside waters where they will find all kinds of wildlife and unforgettable scenery.  Upon their return their table will be waiting for them at The Spotted Bear Bistro where Vince the Chef, owner will have a 3 coarse meal prepared for them and finished with a glass of champagne.  We will be offering this tour every Wednesday and Sunday throughout the summer and are sure that this will be an excellent pairing with our first class vessels at a comfortable price. This tour is currently not available through our website so we encourage you to make your reservations through our office in advance.
