Highway 4 between Parksville and Tofino is packed full of amazing things to see and do. If you have the time to stop a few times on your journey to Tofino, you are in for an adventure. A “must” is definitely The Old Country Market in Coombs. This market is well known for the goats that live on the roof! It has an amazing selection of art supplies, breads, wigs, fish, international foods, toys, household decorations and a lot of random trinkets. You could literally spend hours in there, even if you don’t plan on buying anything. Following your visit to the goats on the roof you can mosey on down the highway to Little Qualicum Falls. Little Qualicum Falls is located on the right hand side of the highway right before Cameron Lake. The falls are epic and will take your breath away. If that is not enough nature for you; take a walk through an enchanting forest at the Cathedral Grove. This forest of huge cedar trees is located about 15 minutes before Port Alberni. You can’t miss this one. There is parking on both your right and left hand side. The West Coast has a lot to offer. Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers! Click here for a map.
