A Feast For The Senses

As we move beyond the Pacific Rim Whale Festival we turn our sights towards spring and the First Annual Feast of Tofino and Ucluelet. From May 8th to June 4th, the very best culinary craftspeople will be teamed up with spectacular resorts like Pacific Sands and service provides such as West Coast Aquatic Safaris to bring you the very best while you stay, dine and play in Tofino.

Last season during the Pacific Rim Oyster Festival we began some very unique tours where we combined a beautiful inside water tour with one of our local chefs (Derek Sandercock of Addictive Foods) and introduced our guests to the world of oyster farms and the and the edible gems they provide us. This year we have already held our first tour where 12 lucky guests had the chance to tour up Tofino Inlet to Cannery Bay during a light snowfall. With the cool air on their face, the fresh snow in the mountains and and gentle swaying of the sheltered inlet the group dine at sea in the company of 1200 sea lions that splashed and played on a floating raft nearby. As it worked out the sun broke free from the clouds just as Chef Sandercock began to prepare his gourmet offerings upon the flying bridge of WASCO.

During the month long feast, West Coast Aquatic Safaris will again be partnering with Derek Sandercock to deliver another one of a kind experience. Pay close attention to our website for details and the chance to reserve your seats for this very limited engagement and join us on Facebook to take advantage to special offers made only to our friends.
