When it comes to choosing who you and your family are going to travel with on the water, the same amount of consideration should be taken as if you were going to fly. There are many things to consider such as comfort, safety, training and certification and of coarse the best possible view!
From the first day of it’s creation, West Coast Aquatic Safaris has been designed and operated by Owner Keith Phillips with safety, comfort and value as it’s priorities. Each Vessel, WASCO and NANUQ have been built to meet or exceed all Transport Canada Safety regulations and we continue to consult with TC on what new technology and training will be most valuable for the future.
Our Captains maintain a Limited 60 ton Captains licence and they and our Naturalist are certified by TC as engineers for our vessels. While most of the operators in town are using smaller vessels designed for a different purpose, each of the vessels in the WCAS fleet was specifically built for wildlife viewing in Tofino conditions and with everyone in mind. From the heated cabins, on board restrooms, multiple viewing decks, quieter more marine friendly inboard diesel engines, West Coast Aquatic Safaris was built to perform at a higher level than the rest.
